Original vintage poster Air France

Albert SOLON

1934

50 x 31 cm
19 x 12 inch

One of the first Air France posters printed in 1934, just one year after the creation of the company. An historical piece in small size, showing the famous Air France Dewoitine 338 tri-engined airliner, extremely rare and highly collectable.

Air France was founded on August 30, 1933 through the merger of Air Orient, Compagnie Générale Aéropostale, Société Générale de Transport Aérien (SGTA, the first French carrier, founded as Lignes Aériennes Farman in 1919), Air Union and CIDNA (Compagnie Internationale de Navigation). The airline had extensive routes across Europe, but also to French colonies in northern Africa and elsewhere.
