Magnificent illustration of the France, a 34-metre-high four-funnel ocean liner that entered service in 1912, one week after the sinking of the Titanic.
Length 230 metres, width 23 metres.
The crossing from Le Havre to New York took six days, with a crew of 690 men for 2,000 passengers, and required the burning of 5,500 tonnes of coal.
