Robert HARDMEYER
(1876 – 1919)
Swiss painter, draughtsman and graphic designer born in Zurich, Robert Hardmeyer is known as a poster designer for his magnificent creation of a rooster wearing a white shirt with red buttons for the laundry company "Washanstalt, Zürich A.G.", an image that revolutionised advertising at that time (1904-05). He also illustrated children's books and school textbooks.
