A fabulous avant garde poster for a laundry company in Zürich. This design was created by Robert Hardmeyer in 1904 and printed in small size. The totally new style of this proud root dressed in a freshly-laundered tuxedo shirt, created a visual shock and was a revolution in the advertisement history. It was so good that it becomes for one century the logo of the company.
This brilliant poster could be considered as the source of inspiration for the "SachPlakat" posters. Even though it is an animal, it shows many characteristics of the object poster: one subject, just the name of the company, high quality paper and bright colors which were beautifully printed in lithography on stone.
We are selling here the large Swiss size original poster printed in circa 1915. One of the most important vintage Swiss poster, held in museum collection and prized by avant-garde collector.
