Beautiful avant-garde poster for a Zurich laundry. This design created by Robert Hardmeyer in 1904 was first printed in this small format before being reprinted in World Format some ten years later. The resolutely new style of this rooster in his freshly washed shirt created a visual shock and changed the history of advertising. The image even became the company logo for a century.
The design of this exceptional poster is forerunning the "SachPlakat" style. Although it is an animal, the unity of the subject matter, the conciseness of the content and the highly graphic appearance that will characterise this school of advertising design are evident in this work.
A very beautiful lithograph collected by museums and prized by avant-garde collectors.
