En 1968, Roger Vadim adapte au cinéma Barbarella, BD mythique de Jean-Claude Forest. Ambiances psychédéliques, costumes extravagants, humour absurde, érotisme potache, sans oublier Jane Fonda en astronaute fort peu vêtue de l’an 40'000 et John Philip Law en ange aveugle… Le film est toujours culte plus d’un demi-siècle après sa sortie.
