Fondé en 1904, l'Hotel Métropole sera malheureusement démoli à la fin de la Seconde Guerre mondiale et replacé par un bâtiment moderne.
Quant au restaurant-tea room Schuh, fondé en 1818 et situé sur les bords du parc de Höhematte, il existe toujours.
