Variation bleue de l'affiche originale (trois variations ont été créées : rouge - bleu - noir) pour l'exposition "The Americans Indian Series" d'Andy Warhol commandée par la Ace Gallery de Los Angeles en 1976 et 1977.
Le portrait représente Russell Means, militant des droits des Indiens d'Amérique et membre de l'American Indian Movement. Les portraits de Russell Means réalisés par Warhol (18 au total) sont devenus un emblème des crises de l'Amérique contemporaine et de l'importance de ses minorités.
