Matisse reprend l'image de sa toile de 1947 "Nature morte aux grenades, Vence" et ajoute les mots suivants, tracés à la main: "Nice, Travail & Joie". Affiche imprimée en 1949 par le célèbre atelier Mourlot, Paris.
