L'exposition "Into 84" se tient du 3 décembre 1983 au 7 janvier 1984 à la Tony Shafrazi Gallery de New York. Keith Haring utilise une photo réalisée par Tseng Kwong Chi du danseur et chorégraphe Bill T. Jones, dont le corps avait été entièrement recouvert de graffiti peints par Keith Haring.
Bill T. Jones dira: "Je me suis senti vraiment puissant." (I felt powerful.)
La première exposition solo de Keith Haring eut lieu chez Shafrazi en 1982, initiant une collaboration qui durera de nombreuses années et lui apportera une renommée internationale.
