In 1936 Broders designs for St- Gervais – les Bains a poster, illustrating skiers in a fully down slope laying tracks in the virgin snow. At this scene, taking place at a slope in front of the Mont Blanc Mountain, the occupants of the cable car of Mont – Arbois equipped with their wooden skis, observe enthusiastically the first skiers that are carving down the freshly landed snow without even paying attention to the cable car. The collectors fascinated by the French tourism of the 1930’s have indicated an immense interest for the posters of the French painter Roger Broders. Considered as one of the masters of Art Deco posters, he is recognized for his plain colors and geometrical style consisted of simple lines and graphical perspectives. This rare and legendary poster of Broders allows, just with a glance, to delve into the joy of skiing. This poster is framed in petrol blue. The frame is also old and included in the poster’s price.
