Swissair DC-3 flying over the cathedral of Zürich in Switzerland. Swissair was founded on 26 March 1931 after the merger of Astra and Balair, two of the principal Swiss companies. The legal name of the new company was "Schweizerischer Luftverkehrs AG" but went under the commonly used name of Swissair. The Douglas DC-3 airliners were delivered to Swissair in 1937. The first Swissair logo is painted on the fuselage. A rare document of this prestigious company.
