Each year, the Marignac - St.Gervais - Papiers Gras comic book competition proposed themes related to current events.
At the end of 1988, the Swiss people rejected the referendum "for a limitation of immigration". The competition, launched in September 1988, took up the theme of immigration in the form of comics and posters.
EXEM signed the poster announcing the competition: at the border, Tintin and Chiang are violently turned away, while the scoundrels Olrik and Rastapopoulos, with their dollars, are warmly welcomed. EXEM then used the design of this poster to create the one for the opponents of the initiative.
