Armin HOFMANN
(1920 – 2020)
Armin Hofmann is considered a leading figure of the Basel School of Design, one of the most progressive Swiss design schools. Teaching at the Basel School of Design from 1946 to 1986, he was pivotal for the Swiss International Style. Hofmann is well-known for his use of black-and-white imagery, his simplification of forms and his use of photo-montage. In doing so, he accomplished a uniquely expressive, graphic style.
