On 23 February 1930, the village of Le Brassus in the Vallée de Joux inaugurated its ski jump.

In the same year, Johannes Emil Müller created a dynamic poster for this spectacular sport. His design is based on two diagonals: one descending with the forest and the public, the other ascending with the skis and arms of the jumper, giving the impression that the latter is flying over the mountains, against an idyllic winter backdrop.

One of the most beautiful illustrations for ski jumping, a sport reserved for a few elite athletes, but which has made generations of skiers dream, and which has been regularly used in posters promoting winter sports resorts.
