In order to surprise their customers and find modern heroes to match the brand's slogan "Beware of sleeping water", Dior used Hugo Pratt's portrait of the famous adventurer Corto Maltese for their perfume advertising campaign. The face of Corto Maltese is taken from the album "Les Helvétiques", while the rest of the poster was drawn by Hugo Pratt's colourist, Patricia Zanotti. Dior's 2001 advertising campaign featuring comic book adventurers Corto Maltese and Largo Winch.
