The "Paris" is the sister ship of the 1912 liner "France", flagship of the Compagnie Générale Transatlantique. Its 18 years career was however in the shadow of the "France" and the "Île-de-France" commissioned in 1927. It burned and capsized in the port of Le Havre on 18 April 1939.
