This poster is created for the theatrical short story “Die Nase”, (Le nez, the nose) of Nikolai Gogol, performed at the “theatre am Gleis” (Winterthur, Switzerland) in 1992. The artists of this poster, explain visually and aesthetically the theme of the story “Die Nase”. They describe the satirical adventure of a St. Petersburg official whose nose leaves his own face and develops its own life! Therefore, in order to depict visually this abandonment the creators of this poster, sketch on the right side, the body figure of the St. Petersburg official and on the left side they apply a Dadaistic photographic collage of the “independent” nose. This poster was granted the Swiss Poster Award in 1992.
