Printed in 1933 for the PLM company, this poster advertises the opening of the Megève to Rochebrune cable car.
To comply with international travel size regulations, this poster then printed in 98 x 69 cm was cut on the right and left by the cable car company itself around 1937, the year that the PLM company disappeared and the SNCF was created. This version measures now 98 x 63 cm.
Although the poster has been slightly cut, the image has not been touched and the text is still perfectly readable.
In excellent condition, this magnificent winter sports poster has become an iconic image of the Art Deco period.
