The Golden Pass Route - M.O.B. 1931
In 1931, four Pullman coaches were introduced on the M.O.B. line. These comfortable, elegant coaches, pictured in this splendid Art Deco poster, offer a bird's-eye view of Lake Geneva and the Dents-du-Midi mountains.

The M.O.B. service began in 1901 with the Montreux - Les Avants section. In 1906, a dining car was added to the two ‘Belle-Epoque’ coaches then in service.
In 1916, the route ran from Montreux to Lucerne, via Gstaad, Interlaken and the lakes of the Bernese Oberland, but still required two changes.
In 1931, with the introduction of four Pullman carriages, the train was renamed the ‘Golden Mountain Pullman Express’.
