Backed on cotton canvas and Canson acid-free paper
A superb Art Deco poster from 1922 for the Casino de Montbenon. Inaugurated in 1908, this building hosted concerts, parties and tea dances.
Designed by Jacomo Müller, the poster was beautifully lithographed by Imprimeries Marsens, Lausanne.
This poster presented a white blank area at the bottom, to print the different by-night entertainment. This white area was trimmed and the original edge with the printer was mounted up. When backed, the join at the bottom edge is almost invisible.
