In 1943, the 'Association des Intérêts de Lausanne' (Lausanne Interests Association) commissioned André Simon to design a poster based on the theme of 'Lausanne, City of Youth'.
In the foreground, a number of objects sum up all that Lausanne has to offer young people: on the left, student life, with the Helvetia student society cap and books on academic subjects; on the right, a tennis racket and two daisies for sport and nature.
Our work consists in safekeeping the artistic heritage of advertising that we consider as a sociological trace of the twentieth century civilization.
