Kung Bore skis by Badan, the Swiss ski brand.

In 1908, Alfred Badan started to manufacture skis and opened a shop in Bursins by Lake Geneva. The cheaper skis were made of ash, the more expensive ones of hickory. In the 1930s, skis were also made of laminated wood, some with celluloid edges and bases.

Alfred II, the founder's son, developed an alpine ski with a green celluloid base with a fish scale pattern, called "SAHY", and also made aluminium skis. The company manufactures alpine, racing, cross-country, jumping and water skis and even exports to the USA. During the Second World War, Badan diversified into the manufacture of sledges, carts and even military barracks. Due to the lack of activity, the company stopped its production in 1948.
