Original poster printed in silkscreen during the events of May 68 in France showing the "Croix de Lorraine", emblem of the Gaullist Party, trembling with fear. The slogan is clear: it calls on the population to stop voting for General De Gaulle.

The May 68 posters were not signed by the artists, who wanted to highlight the importance of collective work. Thousands of posters were created between May 14th and June 27th 1968 all over France, first in art schools, then in universities and factories. These small-format posters were silk-screen printed on the end of press rolls, using mainly red and black. Some are labelled "Atelier populaire", an indication that first appeared on posters produced by the studio at the Ecole des Beaux-Arts in Paris.

This poster was originally cut in the shape of a small flag.
