Geneva painter Rodolphe Luder was a member of the Groupe des Corps-Saints, an artists’ association founded in Geneva after the Second World War.
Luder’s abstract composition in his 1958 poster for the Fêtes de Genève takes on its full meaning when seen in relation to the poster’s title. The coloured triangular shapes of various sizes evoke a firework display against a yellow and blue background - the sun and the water of the lake.
