Andy Warhol exhibition at the Kunsthaus Zürich, 26th May to 30th July 1978.

In the late 1970s, Andy Warhol experimented with shape of colours, printed in silkscreen, giving the impression of collages.
The image used for this self-portrait of the artist combines a photographic print with silkscreen bold colours.
Attaching great importance to his public image, Warhol produced numerous self-portraits from 1964 until his death in 1987.
