A small poster promoting the science fiction comic strip " Carthage, Salammbô II", an adaptation of Gustave Flaubert's novel (1862), drawn by Philippe Druillet between 1980 and 1986.

The adventures of the famous hero Lone Sloane (alias Mathô) and Salammbô, princess of Carthage were published in "Metal Hurlant" and " Pilote" magazines, then by Dargaud and Albin Michel.

Druillet, a famous French science fiction comic strip illustrator created "Metal Hurlant" in 1975 and the publishing house " Les Humanoïdes Associés" gathered together the comic strip artists SFFF (Science Fiction Fantasy and Fantastique) Moebius, Jean-Pierre Dion, Bernard Farkas and Philippe Druillet.
