A sailor with a cheerful smile invites the viewer to come and enjoy a pastis in the port of Marseille. The warm colours of this poster are reminiscent of the sunny city of Marseille, where Paul Ricard invented this aniseed-flavoured drink in 1932.
In the background, Marseille's Old Port with the transporter bridge inaugurated in 1905 and destroyed by the Germans in 1944.
