George Jackson FLEMWELL

(1865 – 1928)

George Jackson Flemwell was an English botanist, painter and illustrator born in Worthing, near Brighton, in southern England. Suffering from health problems, he moved to the French-speaking part of Switzerland, settling in the canton of Vaud. He published two books on alpine flowers in 1910, followed by a work on Villars and its surrounding area.
