Richard ROTH (Dorland Agency)

(1907 – 2003)

After studying at the Berlin Academy of Fine Arts, Richard Roth worked as a freelance designer from 1934 to 1938. He then became head of advertising at the Dorland agency in Berlin, succeeding Herbert Bayer. Dorland was one of the oldest advertising agencies in Europe. From 1940 to 1945, Roth had to enlist in the German army. After the Second World War, he became head of the Dorland offices in Munich.
