The Marignac - St.Gervais - Papiers Gras comic strip competition proposed each year themes linked to current events. At the end of 1988, the Swiss people rejected the initiative "for a limitation of immigration". The competition, launched in September 1988, took up the theme of immigration in the form of a comic strip and a poster. EXEM signed the poster announcing the competition: at the border, Tintin and Chang are violently turned away while the scoundrels Olrik and Rastapopoulos, with their dollars, are welcomed with open arms.
