This poster is created for the 4rth centennial celebration of the reformation in 1536 indicated by the monogram “IHΣ" at the center of the image. It signifies the transliteration of the name of Jesus written in the Greek language (Ι = J, Η = E et Σ = S (JES. = Jesus/Ἰησοῦς, IHΣOYΣ = complete name of Jesus in Greek). The phrase written in Latin “Post Tenebras Lux” that embellishes the illustrated book, means “After darkness” and was used by Calvin and the Protestant Reformation. This phrase is also evident at the Seal of the city of Geneva.Worth mentioning, that the abbreviation of “IHΣ" is also illustrated at the poster dedicated to the 4 rth centennial celebration of the theological seminary of the University of Geneva in 1959 (see code G0334)
