In 1923 Charles Mather, a Chicago-based printer, had a series of incentive posters printed. They were part of the overall Welfare Capitalism trend of the Roaring Twenties and aimed at increasing worker productivity. This series of posters was purchased by a hundred companies so as to be used as workplace propaganda.
