Muller-Brokmann, famous Swiss designer, won the 1962 Swiss Poster Award with this poster, created for the New York City ballet performances in Zurich. Muller-Brockmann is considered as a pioneer of Swiss Graphik Design. Born in 1914, he worked as freelance designer and illustrator in Zurich. During the fifties he moved from illustration to objective-constructive design. In 1957 he was appointed graphic design teacher at the Zürich School of Arts and Crafts and he founded the magazine "New Graphic Design" with Swiss designers Richard Lohse and Carlo Vivarelli.
